Mosaic Jewelry - Stained Glass Pendants

Wear a Mini-Mosaic work of art around your neck!

I love using recycled stained glass for these mosaic pendants. I make all of my pendants with pieces of stained glass that I don't use in my art pieces.  So nothing gets left behind.

Pink, purple, and turquoise are some of my favorite colors.  I think they look great together. These pendants are unique and fun to wear.

Glass Mosaic Tree - Work in Progress Photos...

I started this Mosaic Tree last Sunday.  I was able to sit by the pool on Labor Day Monday and glue the stained glass down while my girls swam in the pool and played outside.  I worked fast and got to enjoy my pool, take the girls on a wagon ride around the neighborhood, laundry and made dinner and desert.

It was a great day, super productive and fun!  Just wish hubby hadn't had to work, it would have been so much better!

Happy Weekend Rainbow...

Hope you are having a great weekend!  I took these pictures on my phone Friday morning on my way to drop my daughter to daycare.  I think this was the best rainbow I have ever seen.  I really wish I had more time and my camera with me.  It would not even fit into one photo...so they are not so great, but I still wanted to share. It was huge and so bright....just beautiful!  Almost like it was saying happy Friday and it's gonna be a wonderful day!

I wished it could have stayed there all day!

Mosaic Mermaid Wall Art - Beach Home Decor

Finally my Mosaic Mermaid is hanging outside on my lanai.  I love the way her tail sparkles in the light.

I have decided I will make another, but she will be facing the opposite way..like they are reaching out to one another.

Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

Stained Glass Mosaic Wall Art - Girl's Room Decor

Stained Glass Mosaic Wall Art Girl's Room Decor - New addition to My Etsy Store...

This Mosaic Wall Art would be a perfect addition to a young girls room decor.

I had so much fun creating this mosaic art.  A piece I entered in the Piece Maker's Mosaic Artist Challenge last month.  The theme was a doodle.  I have always doodled when talking on the phone and this is exactly the kind of thing I would doodle.  I really enjoyed myself and can't wait to participate in another challenge!

Click here to see all the entries: http://piecemakersmosaics.blogspot.com/

This piece is made of hundreds of tiny hand-cut pieces of stained glass. Pink and Turquoise flowers towering over a little girl who is holding up a sign that says "Dream". Swirling blue sky, lime green grass and triangle trees make up this unique Mosaic Wall Hanging.

The concrete backer board is waterproof and very durable....used indoors or out it will give you years of enjoyment.

Measures: 12 X 9
Substrate: Concrete Backer Board
Grout is sealed for durability and stain resistance.
Exterior paint has been used to protect from weather.
Ready to hang with two D-Ring hangers on the back.

Back to School for my girls this week!  I can't believe it really.  School starts early here in Florida...but they do get out early...before Memorial Day.

Stained Glass Mosaic Cross Ready for Grout....

A Mosaic Cross I have been working on and I just finished this last weekend and it's ready to be grouted now.

I just love the purple stained glass here...it is swirled with blue and pink.  These colors together remind me of Spring.

I have been so busy with back to school here, not much time for mosaic lately.

The first week is almost over and it has gone great so far...

Peace Dove - Florence House Project

Here are some work in progress photos of my Mosaic Peace Dove for the Florence House in Portland, Maine.

The Florence House is a home for women who have been chronically homeless and need a break to get back on their feet.

Here is a video about the Florence House...

The Piece Makers Mosaic Artists on Etsy are creating these doves, I believe around twenty of them to be installed inside their home by Mosaic Artist
Amanda Edwards.

Emma's First Pot Holder...

Emma is my sweet six and a half year old daughter.  She was home sick last week with pneumonia. So when she was feeling better all she wanted to do was crafts. She is a little artist you know...always wanting to cut & paste, paint or draw.  Really anything that is messy!
So I looked in our craft closet and found this weaving loom that she received for Christmas!  I started to read the directions to her and before I knew it she was off.  Finished in no time flat.
Finishing the pot holder was a little more complicated though.
What a great craft...she loved it and is already asking do another!
Thank goodness she recovered very quickly!

Emma with her finished pot holder!

She was so proud!
(And there is our dog trying to find something for himself, lol!)

Mosaic Mermaid...Almost finished!

My Mosaic Mermaid is finally ready for grout.  I have been working on this for months now, and so happy she is finished.  By this coming weekend she will be hanging outside on my lanai by the pool.
This is the first project I have made for myself in a long time!
I still have to decide on grout colors to use.  And of course, I am debating on using more than one color for different sections, like her tail and hair.  I have never used more than one color grout before.  So it should be interesting.

I can't wait to see how she looks!

Have a safe 4th of July Celebration!
